Tevez signs for United
United have finally completed the transfer of Carlos Tevez after the Premier League ratified the deal, and the player is now eligible to play for the Reds.
The 23-year-old striker can play against Reading, but Sir Alex Ferguson said earlier on Friday that he will not use the Argentine international.
A club statement said: "Manchester United is delighted announce that Carlos Tevez has been registered as a member of its first-team squad by the Premier League."
