right. i did this not so long ago, sooooooo here goes. remove ALL screws theres 3 above the clocks, 1 hidden behind the heater vent above the radio, 1 behind the fuse box cover, 1 behind the clip in vent beside the steering wheel, 2 screws either side of the steering wheel beside the steering cowling, and 1 beside the radio.......... remove the steering cowling by loosening the 2 screws under the steering wheel, you have to turn the wheel 90 degrees from straight 1 way to get 1 then turn it 180 degrees to get the other. this should release the top half of the cowling. next, lossen the two screws that hold the front of the bottom cowling in place, if you look down on the steering wheel from the top of it you'll see them, two wee shiney ones. then take out the screw underneath the cowling and remove it. next withdraw the wiper and indicator stalks and let them hang under the dash. now lets turn our attention to the screws fro the ashtray which are located under neath it. take them out then remove the ashtray. remove the two screws that hold the heater controls in and dislodge the heater controls. then with a bit of wiggling and jiggling you can dislodge the dash surround, but you can't remove it just yet. take out the headlight switch by turning it 1 nick till its up and down straight in side light position and remove the knob by putting a small screwdriver in the hole at the bottom of the knob (you have to pull it to interior lights on position first) you will then see two lugs which you squeeze in to unlock the switch unit then GENTLY lever it out. slide out the multiplug connector downwards, then disconnect the infotainment display, bit more wiggling and jiggling and you should be holding the dash surround in your hands, put it to one side, loosen the two screws that hold in the dash clocks, flip the white clip over to loosen yer dash clocks and bobs your teapot, love!!!!! jaysus me fingers are sore after all that!!!!!!
