In Germany alone, around three million jobs or seven percent of total employment could be affected by 2030, according to a recent study by the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI). The authors warn of the danger of the labor market drifting apart.
While highly qualified and above-average paid jobs can hardly be filled, there is a danger of an oversupply of workers in the low-wage sector .
McDonald's is also experimenting with the new technology in other areas. In December, the company also entered into a partnership with Google focused on the use of generative AI, although the details of the deal initially remained unclear.
