): 1989 Yugo GVL Long Term Road Test: The Balkan Bullet
Zanimivo, da je 26 let star nezbirateljski avto tako držal ceno: 950 USD proti 4000 USD cena novega. Beat that
.
Sicer pa nekaj komentarjev (se splača slikce pogledat in komentarje spodaj prebrat):
About that suspension. Its compliance over obstacles like train tracks and big dips in gravel turnouts is astonishing. Ordinary pavement imperfections send predictable shivers through the structure, but when we carry some speed through a railroad crossing, the Yugo wafts along as if it's been retrofitted with Airmatic.
The Yugo basically rolls on trailer tires. Fortunately, so do a lot of cars in Korea. (so kupili Kumho gume
)
Elbow out the window. Pride out the window.
Only the fancy-pants GVX came with a five-speed manual. We might be better off without it, though; finding four of these gears is hard enough.
Speedometer reads 34 mph on the interstate. We later establish that the margin of error is roughly 20-30 mph.
Handsome little bugger. We're tempted to call it regal. Majestic, even.
Fuel stop in Ely, Nevada. We check the oil. Happily, most of it's still there.
Fun fact: NHTSA removed the spare tire to compensate for the weight of the crash-testing equipment. The dummies sustained massive "injuries," but Yugo argued the test was flawed, because the tire was designed to absorb some of the impact.
How many editors would it take to tip over the 1,800-pound Yugo on a shoulder like this? Based on our preliminary investigations, we'd say one.
The shame of getting passed by a Yugo in an honest-to-goodness car must be searing. This RAV4 driver may never recover.
Komaj čakam naslednje dogodivščine...
